Class had ended some time ago, but for a musician, practice is never over. Back home, she had a ritual of practicing piano in the evening. To break this habit now would be a sin in this perfectionist's eyes, so it was off to the music room to hone her skills.

Nobody else seemed to be there, which was good. It would be terrible if someone were to hear her songs and then, god forbid, pass them off as their own! No, that would never do.

To start things off, she decided to play a song she had already completed. After setting up a background beat on her laptop, she started to play...and sing. Both her doctor and her parents had told her to refrain from singing, as it could bring on an attack from her bronchitis, but she just couldn't help it. Singing was a part of her soul, and she would be fine probably.

It felt so good to play both of her favorite instruments at once. And even better to excel at them. Making music always made her feel the most alive.

Finally, class was over. The so called Idol was now walking back to his dorm, planning to take a shower and probably spend the rest of the day either sleeping, or trying to write lyrics. The latest was highly doubtful though.

Walking down the hallways, he passed through that certain area. Aaaah. The music classes. Hiroshi actually loved walking around here. Hearing all the students practicing and being imperfect, unlike him, according to his point of view. This time though, the area seemed pretty quiet. Except for a rather distant sound. Out of curiosity, and only out of curiosity, he approached the source of the sound. When he reached the room, he could hear the melody better.

For a moment there, his mind traveled out of his body, into another world. A cheerful, happy and longing one. Wait. What? That didn't happen everyday. Could it have been the song? Hiroshi jerked his head up with an annoyed smirk. Of course not. The song was not good. It was awful. That's what he decided. The song was awful and he would demand the singer to never, ever sing it again.

With a sudden move, he opened the door and stared at the girl sitting next to the piano for a moment. Then, with a plain bored look on his face, he stated his rather false opinion.

"Your song was awful. Please don't sing it again."

After playing the last few chords of the song, the door suddenly opened. Someone was still around after all? And just when she thought that she had the room to herself! In the doorway was a rather angry-looking fellow who looked as if he was trying desperately to look like a 'bad boy'.

As soon as he opened his mouth, Tsukiyo's eyebrows narrowed into a glare filled with hatred and death. Every note in that song was perfect. She knew, because she was the one playing it. How could someone with such poor perceptive skills get into this school anyway?

"Excuse me?"
she stood up from her seat and stomped over to the boy. Resting her hands on her hips, she looked this pathetic excuse for a student up and down.

"And just how do you get off calling my work 'awful'?" After giving him a good stare-down, she smirked as if reaching a conclusion. "Oh I see. That's cute, but there's no need to be jealous."

"HUH!?"

She had done it. Twitching his nerves like that, definitely wouldn't get away with it. But now that he had taken a better look at the girl, her face seemed familiar. Wasn't she... IN HIS CLASS!? With a surprised look on his face, and leaning a bit backwards from the shock, he accidently let his thoughts flip out his mouth.

"How could a lowly being like you be in the S class!? Seriously! How did you get in!? From what I heard just now, your songs are..."

For a minute or so, he rethought about what he had heard before. That beautiful traveling sound-- What!? No, that wasn't a beautiful sound! It was awful and imperfect!

"Your songs are awful and imperfect!"

He took his previous normal pose again, relaxing his characteristics, and returning to his emotionless and jerky state once more.

Oh no.

Oh no no no no no.

Oh noooo he did not.

This person had just found Tsukiyo's berserk button and then proceeded to mash it. Hard.

Awful? Imperfect? And he was even going as far as to doubt her rightful claim to S Class? All this while she had yet to even see anything from him that might make her think that he was any better.

All went silent for a moment. Her arms fell to her sides and her pink-framed glasses glinted ominously. The tension she was feeling could bed cut with a knife, until...

She lifted her head back up and gave the awful little hell-spawn a smile so bright and so sweet that it was positively terrifying.

"Well then, what about it was imperfect? A proper critique requires details and specifics." In a condescending tone she added "You do know that, don't you?"

Hiroshi found himself being in that surprised position again. How-a-Why had she changed the mood so suddenly? That weird happy smile on her face was seriously getting on his nerves right now. And why a critique? He was clear enough. He said that her song was awful, so why would he need to explain any more than that? Stupid little wench. But he wouldn't back down like that. No, he was too stubborn to back down.

He cleared his throat, and put his arms in his trouser pockets. A small idea passed through his head, and he liked it. Leaning forward, he let only a tiny bit of place between his face and hers. A small smirk had appeared on his face.

"You want a critique? Well, every single bit of your song was awfully wrong and imperfect."

Yes, that's right. All girls got stunned by this. At the end, they either run away, or lost their words. She wasn't any different now, was she?

The slime-like creature barely passing for human got closer. A little too close, actually. Hadn't this "person" ever heard of personal space?

But what he said truly clarified what Tsukiyo already knew: this person was just saying idiot things because, well, he's an idiot. He didn't actually have any specific to say about the song, nor was there even any proof that he'd actually listened to it.

Without backing away, her eyes narrowed. "So it is true that idiots repeat themselves." With that, she took a step back, tossing her hair to the side with a swift motion of her hand. "I'll have to tell sensei to give you extra lessons in music theory. I mean, picking up specifics in music is basic. Honestly, I'm worried about you."

He just wanted to hit her. Hit her haaard. But if he did that, he would probably be punished, and punishments weren't very pleasant. So instead, he turned around with his fists clenched, got out of the room, and slammed the door behind him like a maniac.

What was the last time he had gotten so angry? Seriously, only his sister was capable of annoying him that much. She was just a freaking girl. Even more, from his point of view, an untalented girl. She was annoying, and untalented, and... annoying... Wait. Why was he repeating words again? "So it is true that idiots repeat themselves." NO! He wasn't an idiot! Of course he wasn't! She just said that to piss him off!

He walked over to the wall he was facing, and slightly raising his foot, he hit it as hard as he could. Of course his foot hurt after, but his face didn't show any of it, because hurting was for the weak, and he wasn't weak. Nor an idiot. Grrrr...

And so, the poor excuse for a music student did the same thing that anyone who had just been called out on their bullshit would do: stormed out of the room, drama queen style, while slamming the door on the way out. She couldn't help but laugh at the whole thing. It was one thing to defeat trolls on the internet, but to do it in person was so much more fulfilling. Although she was a little surprised to hear the loud 'thud' of someone outside hitting the wall. Wow, was he really that upset? That's a shame.

And so, with that annoyance out of the way, she decided to continue her practice. She was sure to play only her best pieces, just in case that person was still outside, too ashamed to let her know that he was listening and actually in love with her beautiful and flawless music.

After a minute or so, the melody started to echo from the room into the hallway again. Why was she singing again!? Didn't he tell her not to do it again?! Ignorant girl. Mean... He closed his eyes and focused on the song.

A moment later, he found himself sitting on the floor, right next to the room's door, leaning his head and back over to the wall. His body and his mind was probably too relaxed to even realize what he was doing. With his eyes remaining closed, he started hamming bits of the melody that was being heard. If only he was mentally awake, he would slap himself and walk away annoyed. But he wasn't. He was practically sleeping, swayed by the melody.

After a few hours of playing her very best tunes, and further perfecting them, Tsukiyo decided that it was time to go back to the dorm. The sun was starting to set and she had gotten some very good practice in.

Upon opening the door, she was slightly surprised (but only slightly) to see that same person who had bashed on her talent earlier. He seemed to be asleep. Did he stay the whole time...? With a smirk, she quickly got a sticky note, careful not to wake him up. On the note she wrote:

Awww! You DO like my music! : )
-<3 Tsukiyo

She then promptly placed the note onto sleeping beauty's forehead for him to see and then curse himself out over later.

His eyes slightly opened as he woke up. He was sitting on the floor for some reason, and besides that, it was almost night already. Getting up, he felt something weird going around on his forehead. He reached up with his arm, and what he got was something that actually surprised him. A sticky note. Messing with his hair a bit, he read the small letter.

Awww! You DO like my music! : )
-<3 Tsukiyo

Everything came back rushing into his head. That little... He crashed the small sticky paper, threw it down to the floor and walked away, trying to hide his angry face.
